Of course they are! All 180 Golfers at last years tournament had fun, not all of them had good golf scores but that’s besides the point. The Texas Scramble format means that you can be a complete newbie and fool the rest. It’s all about getting out in the sunshine and fresh air and raising funds for the Hospital Foundation.

You could even have a sprained ankle and participate! The cart rental at the golf club makes it easy to get around the course. You get the opportunity to rent juniors for long drives and practice your putting, all in aid of the Lady Minto Hospital Foundation.

Don’t get us wrong, there are plenty of good golfers out on this day. Some have them have been golfing in this tournament since it began. We have a number of sponsors and prize donors who have been involved for over 20 years as well. Why? Because the Lady Minto Hospital Foundation raises money that goes directly to improving health care on Salt Spring Island. It’s pretty simple, as Islanders…..
